Stress, Pain and Myth

Stress is a "monster" that is part of the lives of any living being. However, contrary to common sense, which almost always turns it into an enemy, stress is what allows us to be alert and make decisions. If not, we would die sooner. The issue is managing intensity, and not allowing it to take over our lives. Regarding the context of pain, we can refer to the stress of pain and the pain of stress. Once again we focus on finding a balance between our body and mind, and finding what triggers what. There are cases of pain that cause stress, for example in the most persistent pain, and that prevent the brain from reacting, leading to loss of mobility and more pain. In these situations it is important to understand and manage the pain in order to release the tension component. Excessive stress also causes pain, in the sense that physical and mental tensions accumulate, which limit movements (lack of time, excessive worry, fears) and lead to new pathologies. Whether stress levels are high or low, therapies like Bowen Therapy can help balance the body and mind.
