Feet

The feet are our base, we depend on it to be in balance. And the body needs to be balanced to feel good on our feet. They are our base of support - the spine allows us to walk straight, but the feet connect us to the earth and make us go further :) Since ancient times there is evidence of the relationship of the feet with other organs through reflexology, and of its importance for the general well-being of the body. Healthy feet are one of the secrets to a healthy body. But let's focus first on the pain. There are many causes for foot pain, mainly because they are the basis and the 1st element to absorb the impact when we walk. From the joints to the tendons, the effort has to be properly distributed so that the bony system of the foot works well. And this is essential to live without foot pain. Among the pathologies, we can list some: plantar fasciitis (or plantar pain of the heel), bunions, metatarsal pain, pain in the fingers or arthrosis. And if on the one hand they can be caused by effort or posture, on the other they are caused by us, for example in the inappropriate choice of footwear. Over time, other possible causes of foot pain have been evaluated, in addition to the most obvious injuries to the structure of the foot, mainly because not all are the same, there are complexities that have not yet been unraveled. More comprehensive approaches have also been used, for example at the level of adjacent nerves and muscles, which can be the origin of pain in the structures of the foot. The importance of general balance is emphasized, as the connections (nerves, fascia and muscles) exist from the head to the feet, passing through the internal organs (for example, as the concepts of the nervous system or meridians). In this aspect, Bowen therapy can help, mainly because it balances the body and can release tensions, helping you to walk more easily and effortlessly. Put your feet in the hands of a therapist, but don't trade feet for hands :)
