Sleep and its importance in regulating the body

Sleep is one of the basic biological needs of all animals, including humans. In addition to being important to replenish the energies spent daily, it acts in the regulation of memory and the nervous system, preventing diseases, avoiding accidents, among others.
We all know its importance but we tend not to give it to, often because of the modern lifestyle and new technologies.
There have been several studies (and they continue to be developed) to, for example, establish relationships between sleep deprivation and the immune system and health in general.
Many articles relate the regenerative capacity at the cellular level and the reduction of inflammatory conditions. In some cases, evidence shows that sleep deprivation increases inflammation (back pain, circulation problems, headaches), and on the other hand, that these inflammations also affect sleep. It therefore appears to be a recurring cycle.
It is clear that this area still lacks more studies, and the rules vary according to each person, and with their physical, psychological and social state.
Doctors and therapists can help find the cause of your symptoms, allowing you to find balance and improve the quality of your rest.
Sleep is therefore essential for our physical and psychological well-being, and in the same way that we do our body hygiene daily, we must also maintain hygiene at the level of sleep, establishing rules according to our cycles in order to regulate our rest and our system (homeostasis), thus relaxing and strengthening our immune system.
